Feature Male Buddy

Definition: The male buddy feature is enabled to make sure the male employee is dropped last in operations: This feature when enabled will allow the female employee to punch in the OTP in the driver device only if the last drop male employee or any other male employee has given consent to be dropped last. Once the last drop male employee has been signed in, the driver device will not allow the same male buddy employee to sign out until the female employee is signed out.

The male buddy is not a replacement for an escort/marshall and just makes sure that the male employee who is the planned last drop actually boards the vehicle and is being dropped off last on the ground.

Note -  The male buddy feature only applies in ETS planned cases with “Escort conditional” rules/scenarios.

Example:

Direction: Logout

Female Constraint: Last Female

Planned sequence:

  1. 1st drop - Female Employee.

  2. Last drop - Male Employee.

The trip status for a trip with the above sequence will be “Marshall May Be Required” before the male employee signs in and will not allow the female employee to sign in until a marshall or male buddy (last drop male employee as per planned sequence)

Once the male employee signs in the trip status will turn into “Male Buddy”. And once the male employee gives consent the male buddy status is printed below the male employee and the trip status will change to “Good To Go” post which the driver device will allow to sign in the female employee.

Once the male buddy signs in, the driver device will not allow the male employee to sign off before the female employee sign-off event.
