Feature – Backdated Booking Conversion

This feature allows the PWC team to convert past bookings—where a cab was not assigned—into backdated entries. This enables vendors to assign the cab/driver retroactively without triggering any email or SMS notifications, as these bookings were already handled manually on previous dates. The trip can then proceed to billing.

With this functionality available on the frontend, the PWC team can independently make these corrections without needing support from the MIS team.

Backdate Booking Process

Overview - When the cutoff time has passed,the bookings view dashboard will display "Cutoff passed" in the cab assignment section. The transport team can then convert eligible bookings to backdated status upon vendor request. 

Individual Booking Conversion
Process Steps

  1. Locate the booking - Find the specific booking that needs to be converted

  2. Access action menu - Click the action button next to the booking

  3. Select backdate option - Choose "Convert to Backdated" from the dropdown menu

  4. Confirm action - A confirmation dialog will appear on the user interface

Possible Outcomes

  • Success: Booking is successfully converted to backdated status

  • Error: "Booking not eligible" message appears due to various reasons:

    • Cab has already been assigned

    • Cutoff time has not yet passed

    • Booking is already marked as backdated

Bulk Booking Conversion
Process Steps

  1. Select multiple bookings - Use checkboxes next to each booking to select desired bookings

  2. Access bulk actions - Click the three dots (⋯) next to the track button

  3. Choose backdate option - Select "Backdate Bookings" from the menu

  4. Confirm bulk action - A confirmation dialog will appear on the user interface

Possible Outcomes

  • Success: All eligible bookings are converted to backdated status

  • Partial success: Some bookings convert while others show "Booking not eligible" errors

  • Complete failure: All selected bookings are ineligible for backdating




Post-Conversion Display : Once bookings are successfully marked as backdated: Bookings will be highlighted with a distinctive backdate icon
