The Guest Booking Workflow in MoveInSync Rentlz is designed to allow registered users—either admins or employees—to book cabs on behalf of guests (unregistered users). Guests do not have access to the MoveInSync platform directly and therefore cannot submit booking requests themselves.


Who Can Book for a Guest?

Only the following user types can create bookings that include guests:

  • Admins

  • Registered employees

Guests do not have login access to the MoveInSync application and cannot initiate or manage bookings independently.


Booking Scenarios Involving Guests

There are two ways guests can be included in a booking:

1. Sole Rider Booking (Guest Only)

The cab is booked exclusively for the guest. A registered user (admin or employee) submits the request on the guest’s behalf.

2. Group Ride (Guest as One of the Riders)

The guest is added as a rider alongside other registered/unregistered users during the booking process.


Guest Communication and Trip Details

Once a cab is allocated to the booking, guests receive the following information:

Via Email:

  • Booking details

  • One-Time Password (OTP) for boarding

  • Live tracking link

Via SMS:

  • Booking details

  • OTP for cab boarding

No login is required by the guest to view trip information or access tracking.


How to Add a Guest to a Booking

Registered users can add a guest during the booking process by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Rentlz Dashboard of the MoveInSync platform.

  2. Click Create New Booking or edit an existing booking.

  3. In the rider selection step, click on Add New Rider.

  4. Select Guest Rider Type

  5. Provide the following guest details:

    • Full Name

    • Mobile Number

    • Email Address (optional, but recommended for email notifications)

  6. Save the entry and complete the booking submission.

Q: Can a guest edit or cancel a booking?
No. Only the registered user who created the booking can modify or cancel it.

Q: Does a guest need to install the MoveInSync app?
No. Guests receive all relevant trip information via email and SMS. App installation is not required.

Q: Can more than one guest be added to the same booking?
Yes, multiple guests can be added as long as the booking is submitted by an authorized user.
