There are total 3 steps involved in creating a whole new server
Server creation
Consul configuration for the new server created
Rentlz button enablement.
Step 1: New server creation
Collect Required Details from the client.
Gather all necessary information from the client.
Fill in the Server Requirement Sheet with the details.
Refer to the sample sheet for guidance. (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1E_xeHe1ps0rNn1GtK_Tx3Lanq2zOQ0NEViHZ4dDIPPc/edit?gid=369294238#gid=369294238 )
Verify all fields in the sheet are accurate and complete.
Reconfirm the details with the requester/client before proceeding.
Now Raise a TO Ticket to DevOps
Once the requirement sheet is completed and validated, raise a TO ticket ( Refer- https://moveinsync.atlassian.net/browse/TO-20087)
In the TO - Attach the filled Server Requirement Sheet
Assign the ticket to the DevOps team for server creation.
Once submitted, DevOps will review, create the server based on the provided details.
Step-2 : Consul configuration for the new server
In order to do the consul configuration for any new server you need to create an TO ticket.
Create a TO Ticket in order to configure the details and ask the devops team to copy the configuration from Rentlz demo server or if any other server where you want to get it copied from
( Refer - https://moveinsync.atlassian.net/browse/TO-21862 )Once the configuration has been completed into consul then the next step is to enable rentlz button.
Step-3 : Enablement of Rentlz button
Raise an SE Ticket and ask them to enable the Rentlz button for ( app & web) and it will be done by the SE team.
By following these above steps the total process of New server creation will be completed.
