What is a Virtual Cab?
A Virtual Cab is used when a vendor doesn’t have a specific cab registered in the system and needs to assign a cab other than a dedicated one. In such cases, internal vendors use virtual cabs via the MoveInSync Partner Lite app.
For External Vendors:
Since their cabs are typically not registered in the system, all external vendor cabs are treated as virtual. The actual cab type is communicated by the vendor during assignment.
For Internal Vendors:
To identify whether a cab was virtual and which dummy ID was used, details are visible in the UI during assignment, after assignment, and also reflected in the billing report.
When requesting a cab, all virtual cab dummy IDs are displayed with a "V" prefix. These IDs also include the vehicle and fuel type, enabling the vendor to select the appropriate vehicle when assigning the cab.
Identifying Virtual Cab Trips:
Once a virtual cab is assigned, an identifier is displayed in the UI to help both the transport team and vendors recognize it as a virtual cab trip.
Booking Sidebar: When you click on a booking ID, the sidebar view shows the virtual cab indicator.
Booking View Dashboard: In the Cab Number column, virtual cabs are marked with a "(V)" next to the cab number.
Additionally, in the billing report, the vehicle ID associated with a virtual cab also ends with "(V)", and the adjacent column shows the actual cab registration number provided by the vendor.
